much more than what we do

i’m learning that our significance as people who love God isn’t found in what we do for Him but what He has already done.  peering into our hearts and motivations we may see an intrinsic motivator that has nothing to do with God.  his death on the cross ended the quest for significance and began a quest for full obedience.  we don’t get significance from earthly pursuits but from the ultimate outcome of the cross and the cross alone.  our significance has already been determined.  who are you apart from what you do?  embrace what God has sealed in heavenly places.
